Live Your Happy
Live Your Happy: Get Out of Your Own Way by Maria Felipe:
Joyous and Inspiring!
Before last week, I couldn't remember the last time I had read an entire book in one sitting. Live Your Happy took just one beautiful afternoon to finish.
I immediately loved Maria Felipe's confidence in sharing true and vulnerable tales of her own life.
I found her to be incredibly brave for her honesty and willingness to share so much about herself.
With the first chapter titled "You Are Not Bad, and You Are Not Going to Hell" I was pretty swiftly sucked into this book about spirituality and an interpretation of a loving and compassionate God that resonates closer to my own understanding of what ultimately we are reflections of.
Religion can be an extraordinarily touchy and taboo subject to address in modern day America, and I commend Maria for bravely sharing her take as an ordained minister in California.
This book is as you might imagine: HAPPY!
But more than that, this book is real and honest and raw, closely mirroring reality as it is and not denying pain, difficulty, or strife.
This is a book that does not demand unachievable perfection or unrealistic expectations of forced positivity.
This book addresses life as is, and offers many ways to build strength and resiliency in the face of all adversity.
For a quick and meaningful read, I recommend this uplifting book!
