Oh, that sounds like really important work but it's something I could never do: my mind moves way too quickly all the time and never stops.
I couldn't calm my mind.

No sh*t, Sherlock. This is WHY we meditate!
To assume that people meditating do so because their minds were not spinning is an interesting conclusion to come to.
I'd dare say that most of us are quite similar.
And the problem is more your mindset than anything else.
As it is with this, it probably is with that.

• I don't "believe" in meditation. Wowsers. First time I'd heard that. "Even though Dr. Oz and so many professionals recommend it, I don't think it would ever work for me because I don't believe in spirituality, said a very successful and well to do Catholic to me.
• There is nothing to BELIEVE. Consciousness is present whether you acknowledge it or not. "Spirit" equates roughly to "breath"… in my eyes, spirituality means to be alive with awareness.
