The Girl with the Louding Voice
The Girl with the Louding Voice:
Touching and Unforgettable!
The Girl with the Louding Voice by Abi Daré was one of the most original and heartwarming novels I’ve read in years. From the first page this book caught my attention and compelled me to keep reading and reading… all weekend until I finally finished it.
It was impossible for me to not fall in love with the main character, Adunni—a sweet Nigerian girl who more than anything else valued and longed for an education. This book was eye-opening, at times heart-wrenching, and ultimately, one of the best books I’ve connected to in so long.
While so different from both, I couldn’t stop thinking of two other powerful books that this novel reminded me of: I Am Malala and To Kill a Mockingbird.
The protagonist of this novel had the courage and the unforgettable will that will likely make so many others fall in love with this story, too.
I highly, highly recommend reading this amazingly well done book, and bet you too may have a hard time putting it down!
“Abi Daré's fearless debut is a celebration of girls who dare to dream and those who help unfurl their wings so that they might soar.”
