Cursing as Authenticity? WTF?
Here’s the deal—I mostly keep my language clean for my clients and students.
But my friends, or anyone who has a one-on-one conversation with me knows I’m a few things: a loud talker, a fast talker, a passionate talker, a freaking goofball, and someone who has a large repotoire of expliciatives awaiting their chance to fly.
But… I run a business called PEACE to the People.
How the hell can curse words be a part of this big picture?
Think of some of my most favorite shows of all time. Life changing shows like Breaking Bad, like Curb Your Enthusiasm… life changing speakers like Tony Robbins.
They cut through bullshit.
And people offended by the occasional curse word MIGHT lean towards being a tad bit uptight.
I am certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, and if we are out to attract our ideal clients… picturing the people in mind we wish to reach and help… my people are not uptight.
My clients, friends, and students are open-minded people—free thinkers with a sense of humor, a sense of playfulness while tackling some of the most serious problems and challenges around us.
My clients are intelligent, adaptable, eager to grow and sustain growth, eager and willing to be their best selves.
I do not want Susan The Easily Offended and High Maintanece Whiny Pants Complainer as a client.
Sorry, Susan.
Water seeks its own level.
There are plenty of people more than willing to embrace your perpetual bitching, moaning, and complaining.
I’m not one of them.
