Fall in Love with Progress

Mindset shift here. As simple for me as drawing bars and coloring in boxes of achievement. I'm not sure when exactly, but at some point from college years of dreading large papers and projects to becoming an author and entrepreneur creating my own content and work... something snapped internally from looking at being 5% done with a thought of dread to the remaining majority of the project... to thinking simply, "Ayo! I am almost there!" In workouts too, something has shifted where I stop thinking, "What's left to do?!" with agnoizing dread. It's a shift from ughhhh to hell yeah! Look at me go! I'm almost there!

Looking at what is left to be done can be massively overwhelming… and this visionary ability to see the completed picture may be the very vice that keeps you from getting started!

You KNOW how huge of a task this is going to be… soooooo… how about nah. Just do it later.

This intimidation is understandable, but a huge act of self-sabotage.

Take this very blog.

I knew there were hundreds and hundreds and HUNDREDS of essays to be written.

Pages to be create, images to be made, free downloads to be produced, sales funnel to think through… for three years before ever writing one word, I dreaded creating what I built this whole damn website for in thte first place! To be a platform of uplifitng or helpful conent on a myriad of subjects that I KNEW was going to take a LONG time to complete.

Taking years to get started did me no justice, other than providing the fuel and fury for me to finally say ENOUGH ALREADY to my intimidatation and proscrastinating and just get the damn thing started.

Two percent is better than no percent. Four percent will grow eventually to ten percent, and just like that, I’m a chunk of the way done with something that seemed too massive to even think about starting.
