10 Steps to Radiant Beauty
Here you go, beautiful ladies: my deepest, darkest beauty secrets.
10 Radically Simple Steps to RADIANT BEAUTY
1. Stop wearing nail polish.
Wait, WHAT?! Get pampered when you really want or need to (for a wedding, vacation, special event) but otherwise: what is wrong with natural nails?
They are beautiful as is and nearly EFFORTLESS.
The time I used to spend painting my own nails (almost certainly wrecking SOMETHING along the way) seems absurd.
It was excruciating.
It was the exact type of "girl stuff" that as an only child and tomboy, I hated.
2. Who are you impressing with your expensive clothes? Who CARES?! Have you heard? Millions of people RIGHT NOW on THIS VERY EARTH are living in suffering and poverty. Who gives a SHIT what is on your body?!
Real talk? I am from a small town in country Ohio. I grew up having the time of my life waking up early in the morning, my mom with her coffee, the sun shining, driving under the beautiful open skies, going to garage sales, meeting kind people in our community, and finding amazing bargains and the perfect, most quirky-cool things you could ever imagine.
This ultra-superficial (insecure) American culture being pushed on the masses is what I'm here to at last say: really?
Really?
These billion dollar corporations have PLENTY to live on the rest of their (and their great-great grandchildren's lives.)
ENOUGH ALREADY. Dammit!
Are the cuckoo conspiracy theorists actually right
Story of LA blazer. Oh, I'm sorry. Did my value suddenly sink in your shallow eyes? Or am I just as beautiful as before in a gorgeous blazer and now YOU feel ashamed to be seen with me?
What is it about that LA culture? The hollowness, the superficiality, the status seeking, trying to BE somebody.
You already ARE somebody.
God makes no mistakes.
I went to LA looking for spiritual enlightenment and instead, fell in love with what I had always imagined (to a TEE) the love of my life to be.
But alas, the Universe WAS driving me to the love of my life: my husband.
Wait, what?
3. You are beautiful without ANY makeup.
Like this? Yes. THIS?! Yes. No CONCEALER?!?!?!?! Yes.
Why did it take another person (albeit my loving man) to teach me this lesson?
I envision a thriving economy that is sustainable and service based. We all need to eat (many hate to cook), we need to move, we need massages, and self-care practices.
Can we upset the potentially corrupt institutions in place?
A subtle counter-culture boycott with a vision to both not be assassinated by the higher ups but work WITH them. Is that possible, y'all?
